The Mazafaka piracy incident

How Mazafaka, one of the oldest and most exclusive cybercrime forums, was hacked, and shortly afterwards a list of several users found itself freely available on the internet. The file (.txt) contains 2,990 lines with usernames, email addresses, passwords and nicknames.

The main services used are those provided by Mr and Mrs Everybody.

Gmail (US) leads the way with 20% accounts. It is followed by Yahoo (US) with 18% and Mail (US) with 11%. Protonmail.com (CH) ranks only 14th with 0.7% accounts. After discussion, the consensus is on the third hypothesis: there is a complete sense of impunity.
