Soft skills in crisis management

Although technical skills are fundamental to cyber crisis management, they are not sufficient on their own. Other, more informal and human qualities are essential for an operational approach. At the heart of cyber crisis management, human qualities take precedence over technical skills. This is because a good cyber crisis manager is not necessarily an expert in information systems security. Above all, they are someone who possesses emotional intelligence, the ability to manage stress, humility and courage in the face of the unexpected.
